Futurefarmers (US) - A Harvest Festival for a New Peasant Movement
PrintText
Futurefarmers art group, together with the association Li Mestère sow a collection of peasant grains and with De Groentelaar a field of a wildly scattered mix of wheats and rye similar to those grown in the Pajottenland at the time of Bruegel. Their project Open Akker expresses itself in three acts upon a small plot of land; the sowers, the harvesters and finally a Procession and Feast to celebrate a New Peasant Movement that aims to shorten the chain between the farmers and the buyer of local products such as bread.
